What and what not

I'll see you in about a week! Here's some info. Please share this with your friends who will be there with you.

1. BRING YOUR ID!! You have to have it to check in and work.

2. Bring an alarm clock! 5am comes real early out there.

3. Our check in time is Wednesday morning at around 6am. We'll meet in the Wal Mart parking lot at around 5:30am and go into the festival together.

4. The first shift will be Wednesday night. The schedules aren't made out yet, so I don't know who's working.

5. We will try to have everyone done working by 6pm Friday.

6. We may be able to work it out for a few people to only be scheduled for one shift instead of two. If you are willing to work a weekend shift (ie friday pm, saturday am, saturday pm, sunday am) please let me know.

7. If you have not given me a cell phone number that you will have on you at Rothbury, please give it to me.

8. DO NOT get drunk, high, spun out or anything else that will prevent you from working. You have to work your shifts. Plan your partying around your shifts. You can not stay out until 5am and then say that you are too tired or messed up to work. You'll be fired and your wristband will be cut off.

Rothbury considers it theft of property if you get a wristband and don't work the shifts that you are scheduled to work. They aren't scared to prosecute for theft. If you are scheduled, you must work your shifts. They will come get your name and info from me. At the minimum, your wristband will be cut off and you'll have to leave the fest. If they see fit, they will press charges for theft. Make sure you work when you are supposed to.

If everyone does their part, things will go smoothly and everyone can enjoy.

Look for my nomad flag at Wal Mart and come check in with me. It looks like this

Here is the wal mart where we will meet - Wal Mart - Muskegon, MI

That's it for now. I'm looking forward to working with you all!

No More

I can't take any more volunteers or deposits.

Sorry, we're over booked.

We'll try again next year.

Rothbury Ride Share

If you need a ride or have room for an extra person (or two) in your car, post a comment here. I know that some folks are still looking for a ride. It's a good way to save gas and money and make new friends. Also, check the older post from April. See if there is anyone there who can help you or you can help. Thanks. See you soon.

Deposits

Our list is filling up quickly. If you have not paid your deposit, please do so as soon as you are able. When the list is full and we have to start cutting folks, it will be the ones who have not paid a deposit that are cut.

I'm going to be out of town from April 27 - May 7. If you send your deposit, it will be fine here until I return, but I will not be able to confirm with you that I have it until I return on May 7 (or 8 or 9 depending on how many people I have to respond to). So, don't worry if you don't hear from me. It will me on my desk when I return and you'll be safely on the list.

If you are a follower of this blog and your friends are not, please ask them to read it and ask them to become a follower so they don't miss out on any important info.

Thanks!

Teams and Team Leaders

So, we're going to try a new plan to help things stay organized, help people stay with their friends and help us keep us with everyone. If you are with a group of folks, we want you to form a "team" and pick a team leader. That way we can communicate with 1 person in your group instead of 3,5,8 or whatever. If you would, please email me and let me know if you are a group (more than 1) and tell me who is in your group and who the leader will be. Thanks for your help.

If you haven't subscribed to this blog or become a "follower" please do, so you will always be up to date.

Ride share for volunteers

I've had several people asking about rides to Rothbury. It might be a good idea to start a ride share for volunteers in your area. You can comment on this post to say if your interested and get in touch with others who are.

Volunteer Deposits

This year for Rothbury volunteers, we need a $50 deposit to hold your name on the list. This will be returned to you as soon as you complete your work at the show. If you want to work, you have to pay the deposit. That's the only way we can ensure our volunteer list is good.

Send your money orders (no checks) with your name and email address to

Nomad Supply
200 Fern St.
Birmingham, AL 35210

Last year I had several emails asking if this was some sort of scam. The answer is no. If you want to work you have to pay.

If you have any questions, ask me and I'll find you an answer. Please don't contact Kingdom Promotions or Rothbury.

rothbury festival

Hey there, Here is a little info for you if you're just finding out about volunteering with us at Rothbury. My name is Beau, I'm with Nomad Supply. I'm working for Kingdom Promotions, which is the staffing company that has been contracted to organize the tollbooth workers for Rothbury this year. Working the tollbooths means that we'll be greeting folks and scanning tickets at the front gate of the festival. I don't have all of the details yet, but based on last year, I would say that everyone will be required to work two 12 hour shifts in exchange for a weekend pass. We're going to try to have everyone done working by 6pm Friday night. That's not a promise, but a hope. If you haven't spoken with me yet and would like to get on the list, please email me at nomadsupply@gmail.com. I'll need your name, email address and cell phone number (for contact at the show).

PLEASE do not contact Rothbury or Kingdom Promotions. They have asked me to make it clear to you that they do not want you to contact them about the tollbooth work. That's why they have me. If you have any questions, please ask me. If I don't know the answer, I'll find it out for you.

I had a great time last year and I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of you again this year!
